Mr. Shafran, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Paran Management Company, Ltd. founded the company in 1975 with the objective of specializing in the rehabilitation of community shopping centers in small towns and cities throughout the Midwest. Under his guidance and vision, the company manages in excess of 2 million square feet of retail space in five states.
In addition to his responsibilities at Paran, Mr. Shafran was a Founding Director of the Commerce Exchange Bank, and the developer of Glidden House, a bed and breakfast inn located in a restored 80-year old mansion at University Circle in Cleveland. He is active in numerous professional and civic organizations, as well as an officer or trustee of several organizations, including University Circle, Inc., Cleveland Heights/University Heights Public Schools Foundation, and Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
In 1967, Mr. Shafran received his B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
